Trial set for Ulen farmer charged in I-94 crash
Inforum reports that court records allege that Charles F. McCarthy was hauling “wet cake,” a corn-based byproduct, from the ethanol plant near Casselton, N.D., to his farm on Nov. 16 when the rear gate of the truck came open. A Sept. 14 trial has been set for a dairy farmer from Ulen, Minn., who is charged with two felonies after a truck he was driving spilled its slippery load on Interstate 94 last fall.
