National Biodiesel Board Praises Senate for Passage of Biodiesel Tax Incentive Extension
Environmental Protection Online reports that the National Biodiesel Board is extremely happy with the Senate’s recent passage of a proposal that would allow for a retroactive extension of the American Workers, State, and Business Relief Act of 2010. The organization emphasizes how detrimental the lapse in the biodiesel tax credit that was a part of that legislation has been to the biodiesel industry, and encourages Congress to take appropriate measures to ensure that the lapse does not occur again. Now, Congress will have to reconcile two versions of the bill that were approved in each chamber, and the NBB urges Congress to do so quickly in order to prevent further economic devastation.
