Analysts: EPA won’t implement ethanol mandate before 2010

Benzinga reports that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency would not implement the scheduled increase in the ethanol mandate before the beginning of 2010, said FBR Capital Markets analysts. According to FBR , a delay in the implementation can “dampen” the government-mandated demand for ethanol and corn for at least the first part of the year. The delay could have implications for ethanol producers, corn producers, agricultural equipment manufacturers and oil refiners, the analysts say.
