Biodiesel and Ethanol Investing

Reuters UK reports that Bulgaria will introduce compulsory blending of diesel and petrol with biofuels from 2010 to boost usage of the green fuels and meet European Union targets. The new rules, which come into force in March next year, require blending of diesel with a 2% content of biodiesel. Biodiesel content will be raised twice a year to reach 8% by 2015 and 10% by 2020. The amendments now envisage hefty fines for fuel sellers as well as filling stations who break the rules.
