Petrobras buys 50% stake in Parana plant
Biodiesel Magazine reports that Brazil’s state-run Petrobras Biofuels acquired a 50% stake in a BSBIOS SA plant in the state of Parana that is expected to begin commercial operations in Q2 2010. The new plant has an installed capacity of 120 MMly (about 30 MMgy). Petrobas Biofuel currently has a capacity of 324 million liters of biodiesel per year, with plants in Montes Claro, Dandeia and Quixada.
