Michigan universities team up to develop cellulosic plant
Michigan Tech reports that Michigan Technological University and Michigan State University have signed a partnership with Frontier Renewable Resources to develop Michigan’s first cellulosic ethanol plant. Frontier Renewable Resources is providing $2 million in research funding to the two universities to conduct four projects in support of the biofuel plant development. The research projects include the development of a model of the biofuel supply chain, tracking biomass from tree to the plant gate.
