EPA awards grant to SDSU students

EPA reports that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded South Dakota State University students with a $10,000 grant to help develop a recyclable catalyst for biodiesel production using waste grease, recycled oil and potentially algae. The grant is one of 43 awarded nationwide under the EPA’s People, Prosperity and the Planet program. The EPA said it has awarded grants to teams of college and university students who will design creative technologies to sustainability challenges.
