NBB applauds Portland’s biodiesel use

Written on August 10, 2009

Biodiesel Magazine reports that The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) applauds Portland’s commitment to biodiesel and urges fleets to follow its lead in fact-based fuel decisions. The Oregon city has used a minimum of 20% biodiesel in its fleet of several hundred diesel vehicles since 2004. Portland uses biodiesel made from locally-grown canola waste grease, and has also used soy biodiesel. NBB has reached out to fleets such as Portland’s to ensure they have accurate information about the false claims that have been leveled against biodiesel.
