CIIF to venture into biodiesel
Business World Online reports that the CIIF Oil Mills Group plans to venture into biodiesel production in the Philippines to open a market for coconut farmers and oil producers, incoming president Jesus Arranza said. Arranza said he will finalize an agreement with Laguna-based biodiesel producer Atson Coco Inc. when he assumes control of the CIIF group. Arranza will replace Danilo M. Coronacion as the president and chief executive of the CIIF Oil Mills Group. Arranza said biodiesel to be produced might be sold to oil giants Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Petron Corp.
