Eastern Petroleum still looking for ethanol plant partner
Business Mirror reports that independent oil player Eastern Petroleum Corp. is still on the lookout for a strategic partner for its planned ethanol production facility in the Philippines. Fernando Martinez, Eastern Petroleum chairman, said the facility will have a capacity to produce 30 million liters of ethanol a year. Initial capacity is estimated at 100,000 liters a day. Martinez added that they are currently developing cassava as the ethanol plant’s feedstock.
