Sacramento Transplant Entrepeneur Opens Sacramento’s Fifth Biofuels Station

Written on February 4, 2009

California publication The Granite Bay Press Tribune reports that Sacramento’s fifth station offering biofuels has begun offering E85 ethanol mix and B5 biodiesel to consumers, as well as federal and state agency customers. The Propel Fuels Union76 station, owned by Bodh Kunwar, is the latest in the area’s strides toward carbon reduction and green awareness. Propel Fuels, formerly headquartered in Seattle, was recently moved to the Sacramento area because of environmental awareness in the area. Greenpeace, The Sierra Club, and state agencies have been very supportive of stations like this coming to this prime-for-alternatives area. With owners of biofuels stations taking risks by moving their companies or starting pumps in the state, the California Environmental Protection Agency offers its full support and recognition as the state continues to make strides toward global emissions reductions.
