Students Find Ethanol to be an Economically, Environmentally, and Socially Poor Choice
The L R C Blog reports on a group of advanced-level high school math students’ reported findings on ethanol’s economic, environmental, and social downfalls. The report, published in a scholarly journal, estimates ethanol’s break-even point at $200 per barrel production cost with more carbon dioxide emissions than gasoline and problems in the food versus fuel dilemma.
