Cattle Network reports that ethanol feedstock corn futures have surged higher through May 2009, showing a potential turnaround from recent sharp losses. Despite weak demand, ending stocks of supply are also up, helping the market to sustain itself and gain strength in 2009. Although setbacks are anticipated on corn’s rebound, Ethanol futures are also incrementally higher through March 2009.
