U.S. Has Variety of Algae Biodiesel Companies
SustainableBusiness.com reports that over 50 U.S. companies are working on production of commercial algae biodiesel. The three types of algae fuel companies are closed bioreactors (ex. Solix), open ponds (ex. Aurora Biofuels), and genetic modification specialists (ex. Solazyme).
