Making Public Transportation Sustainable

CentralIllinoisProud.com reports that about 14 million people in the U.S. make use of public transport on a daily basis. New York’s Rochester Institute of Technology is researching biodiesel, ethanol, hydrogen, and fuel cells to try to find the most sustainable way to run public transportation. If one in every ten Americans used public transportation, the country’s foreign oil dependence would drop 40%.
