BlueFire Ethanol to Build Commercial Waste Ethanol Plant
Earth2Tech.com reports that BlueFire Ethanol was granted permission to build a new waste-to-ethanol plant near a Landcaster, CA landfill. BlueFire says its facility will be the first biowaste-to-ethanol facility in the U.S. on a commercial scale. About 170 tons of biowaste, or potential feedstock, is dumped at the landfill every day.
