Six U.S. Ethanol Companies Holding Strong

American Chronicle featured six U.S. companies that are teaming up with the D.O.E. to invest in ethanol production. Abengoa Bioenergy is planning to produce 11.4 Mgy of ethanol made from corn stover and agricultural waste to power its facility. Alico, Inc. will use yard and vegetable waste to produce 13.9 Mgy of ethanol at its facility on a landfill. Poet Bioenergy will produce 125 Mgy of ethanol from corn fiber, stover, and corn kernel. Iogen will produce 18 Mgy of ethanol from agricultural residues. Range Fuels will produce 40 Mgy of ethanol and 9 Mgy of methanol from wood residues.
