BioEnergy of America Closes 80 Mgy Biodiesel Plant
NJBiz.com reports that BioEnergy of America went out of business and was forced to abandon its unfinished 80 Mgy biodiesel plant in Edison. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January and closed down the biodiesel plant in February. BioEnergy said market conditions including very high prices of soybeans and soybean oil hurt revenue and also forced a creditor to stop lending funds for the facility in Edison.
