Taiwan Increasing Biodiesel Efforts
Taiwan Journal reports that 13 shuttle buses at the 2007 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Chiayi County ran on biodiesel sponsored by the Bureau of Energy under the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Taiwan’s Council of Agriculture said the government will begin increasing their renewable energy crops. The Taipei Times also said that the increased crops will include soybeans and sunflowers grown in about 4,550 hectares this year.
