Canola Council of Canada Hopes EU Approves GMO Canola
Reuters.com reports that Canada may begin exporting genetically modified (GMO) canola seed for cooking oil and biodiesel if the European Union’s Agricultural Council votes for it next week. The Canola Council of Canada hopes that the GMO canola seed by Bayer CropScience gets approved at this vote, but Bayer expects it will take until the end of 2006.
